Thought is defining feature of a human being

Thought takes the help of mind for its activity resulting in ideas

Mind assimilates all the experiences that are in and around a human through consciousness and generates feelings/experiences and imagination.
Feelings, Ideas, Imagination and thoughts mixed up result in human behavior and function through human physiology.


Human physiology is the result of Human adapting to the environment in a better way and thought process/cognition is the parallel activity in evolution that got refined with time which guided the physiology resulting in function and further human behavior


Then what is mind made up of??
Biologically it is brain and its abstract form is mind
Biologically brain is the center to control nervous system and through mind is responsible for thought.


What is this brain made up of??
Brain is made up of cerebrum and cerebellum 
Cerebral cortex is a neural tissue formed from neurons and myelinated axons.
Myelin is a dielectric material that forms sheath over axon around a neuron


Cerebellum which is the controlling part of brain also has neurons in specific arrangement


What is neuron??
Neuron is an electrically excitable nerve cell that processes and transmits information by electrical and chemical signalling.


What is electricity?? What are the chemicals in brain??
Electricity is flow of electric charge and electric charge is a property of subatomic particles which gives rise to and interacts with electro magnetic force.
Charge originates in the atom and the carriers are electron and proton.
Chemicals in the brain are sodium, potassium, chloride and calcium and the difference in concentrations of them gives voltage or rather electrical charge which again sub divided result in electrons and protons.


What is in the electron and proton, but before that what is there inside a neuron??
Inside neuron there is soma which forms nucleus of the cell
Electron is a subatomic particle carrying negative electric charge
Proton is also a sub atomic particle carrying positive electric charge and composed of fundamental particles called quarks
Electrons with atomic nuclei which is made up of protons and neutrons make atoms.


What is nucleus??
Nucleus generally is core of anything and atomic nucleus is made up of protons and neutrons and orbiting electrons and all these electrons, protons, neutrons are composed by quarks.


What is a quark??
Quark is an elementary particle and fundamental constituent of matter.


This is where the research of human stands as of now.


So how do we define thought??
Is it quarks composed to form electron, proton, neutron, neuron and positioned in such a way and their interaction in different proportions to form chemicals, and in turn chemicals interacting to form nervous system and brain, and the electrical and electromagnetic charges due to the difference in concentrations of these transmits signals in the brain which again interacts with external universe which again if split shows the same subatomic particles  - to give rise to "Thought" - Is it so??


Can everything in universe can be explained in the same way as thought??


It means there is no living , non living differentiation. What ever may be the matter it is basic atoms and sub atomic particles in different mathematical proportions and combinations.Is that it??


Further in between these minute basic particles what is the thing lying?? - It is "Space".

In my reply to Mr. Mohan's comment this is what I stated
Human is most superior being nature has evolved till date and he is one of the forms of Brahman and variegated manifestation of Brahman - who can think reason and understand the nature which is Brahman again - the sciences are the off shoots of extensive thinking, research and formulation of theories by human in his quest to truth and an attempt by the human to get control on nature both inner and outer - which till date he is unable to achieve. Say ultimately one day even if human conquers the nature what he has to do with it - try for internal peace and create external surroundings which will help the same or damage his own entity by misusing the same, and as on date history is in line with the second one. If Ramakrishna Paramahamsa has experienced and seen the superior force, what he did with that? Whether all others can exercise the same control even after getting the immense power or simply misuse so that this species is extinct even before the negative part of the nature engulfs us?


One of my best friends after reading this blog asked me some questions and the conversation in the chat is as follows
My friend(MF) : Man is God??
Me: Yes , Aham Brahmasmi
MF: So RK Paramahamsa discovered himself as Budhdha did long ago
Me: Yes
MF: If this is so we are made with a combination and once the combination is over we are converted into other (Law of conservation of mass)
Me: The combination will be over if we meddle too much with nature - and new combinations will follow as per external nature which is fingered
MF: So man's thoughts are controlled by his nature which he has not hold of. One who sees or gets hold of his nature realizes the truth
Me: Yes - ante sookshmam


Mr. Shyam's comments and my views
a. If this theory of yours gains currency and accepted then wickedness is a product of certain things which are not under the control of man. Isn't it easy for a evil doer to argue(a hypothetical proposition) that his doings are not his but some things beyond his control(provided this theory becomes very much acceptable in the likes of shariyat etc.,)


Qualities like wickedness , goodness are a thought far. The same thing at one point of time seems to be good and in other context evil - You can also refer your RK sir's comment in Kotta Bhetala Kathalu - Joseph Vankayala the Achiever, regarding morals and social construct which is more apt and fitting explanation - It is more simple "You do or don't do - not that it is good or bad - and not doing is one way of doing things"
I understand "Shariyat" is Muslim law which is dependent on a person who is occupying the supreme seat in Muslim religion - If you start discussing of that religion again it is an ocean - It is his discretion to decide on things whether it is acceptable to all or somebody say it is biased and simply it is view of the mob again - every time majority wins except for a few unconventional cases.


b. If the theory of Ajay Shukla was also ultimate then there are many a infinite "space" in this ever expanding space(thanks to big bang) and scope of same life form with same thoughts is imminent
If you mean to say that we are not alone in the universe -then there are all probabilities that we may not be alone -It is just a matter of time till we find them
If you are talking about reincarnation we will discuss on it in the further posts


c. When you realize your nature or you are in a position to separate yourself from your nature do we acquire supernatural powers?


There is nothing supernatural - Everything is natural after you understand the reason - Even immense power is natural
eg: If you cannot understand the trick you call him baba who has supernatural powers - If you know it is trick you call him magician - If you know the trick you can be a baba to persons who don't understand and you will be a magician to people who know it is a trick- 
likewise varied examples can be given for this 


d. If in this life man cannot get to his nature man and his nature are separated at only one time death? isn't it
Man is a part of nature - and you cannot separate yourself from nature even after death and even death is natural

Today I read what I have written in the last three episodes of science discussion. I as well gave some details but, I felt I am leading nowhere. What are the three main points in the last three episodes what I am emphasizing 
1. Human has got logic and reasoning in his thinking 
2. With the help of above he discovered sciences, in the quest to find out truth of this universe, which are intertwined and also invented somethings which will be of use to him
3. Space is such a thing which relates everything


Further what I want to tell is about basics of sciences, why because - If we say computer and internet which are the ubiquitous end products for use and through which I am communicating my thoughts to my friends - just a glance of how the sciences involved in it
1. Computer uses binary coding and logic which is Maths
2. It uses integrated circuits with semi conductors, micro processors and basic function of circuits are the principles of physics
3. It uses semi conducting materials like Germanium, in circuits and transistors, which are discovered and the properties are specified by chemistry
4. Our biology is helping us to read this - further integration of this with biology leads to Androids (robots)/ Humanoids which, seemingly, will be a part of our life like toothbrush etc., in near future
Internet again uses all sciences and connects computer systems and also can be expressed same way.
And science is advancing so fast in the last century in leaps and bounds and specializations in each and every aspect, it is very difficult to follow science in all levels and in detail - I am just trying to give a glance of already what is unearthed to predict where it will lead to and what is its necessity and what in reality human needs - is it too much of science?? or is it GOD?? or a balance between science and GOD?? or is it simply science to GOD


Maths which is further classified into Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Analysis based on its study of quantity , structure, space and change and is called Pure Mathematics, and Applied Mathematics is using the pure maths to solve problems of sciences and businesses.
Physics is study of matter and a natural science which is further divided into Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Thermodynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Relativity.
Chemistry into organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry
Biology into Botany and Zoology and modern biology is based on principles like cell theory, evolution, genetics, homeostasis and energy


How to define human??
Human is basically composed of chemical materials like Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen and nitrogen mixed in mathematical proportions of definite nature and held together by laws of physics and universe - That is it??


Then how to define thought??

Earlier I used to frame some poetry taking difficult words/ expressions from some other good poems to fit in my thought line and write something just to develop my English - I read "Paradise lost" by Milton and used most of its expressions and words to write this poem

Is abducted to that perilous edge

My daughter Srujana asked me one question - " What you mean by that definition of maths and how through maths we study regarding space". It was night 10.00PM and we are making arrangements to go to sleep.
I was totally dumbstruck. For sometime I was unable to think of an answer to tell her exactly, because the question is from an unexpected person who was just trying to complete her 5th std., and moreover when she read my blog to pose such a question I don't know.
I thought of giving some simple and also apt answer like  "+1-1=0" - but her inquisitive looks stopped me from talking further. If I say something , then the questions will not stop until she is satisfied, and I don't know where it will stop and at what time - I said "go to sleep we will talk tomorrow in the morning". 
One more thing is, my knowledge is limited to general descriptions and definitions of all subjects and my application of transcendental logic cannot explain all things if she digs further.
While relaxing, before totally immersing in sleep, I started thinking what I know and what is "space" in simple words which I can explain to my daughter at the same time I remembered my blog where I am just trying to relate things to justify a priori of "science advancement leads to god" - the following things came to my mind


1. Concept of space will give a basic understanding of the physical universe
2. Space is area between two celestial bodies where there is nothing ??? Is there anything in this nothing???
3. Space is caused by big bang and rapidly increasing 
4. Space is bound less
5. Earlier it was thought that "Ether" a space filling substance is there in the space which rather became an obsolete theory after Einstein's "Theory of relativity" and introduction of space time, even Einstein's reinstatement as gravitational ether doesn't evoke much interest. 
6. Whatever points above are related to the outer space and there are spaces external and internal in all Macrocosms as well as Microcosms
7. Kant a German philosopher opined that space and time are two elements which humans use to structure their experience.
Thought this is enough stuff to feed my dear and involve her for asking questions further which will result in a discussion where we will go step by step and I will also learn after they put forth their doubts by studying some more material if required.


In the morning again I tried to start the same discussion and repeated my thought "+1-1=0" to both Srujana and Krishna my son. Then my son started shouting why it is +1-1 why can't it be +2-1 and +1+1 and said "stop now we need to go to the school", and ordered me to collect DVDs of latest movies and keep them ready by evening. My daughter also joined the bandwagon and asked me to collect DVDs and said we will talk later on this space issue.


After this I am lost in my own thought process and my strong contention is, space is such a thing which will relate everything. The other things may differ in their composition and characteristics but this simple thing "space" which is the start of this universe and  prevalent everywhere and in everything and is more complex beyond anybody's imagination.


In this I narrated the whole thing by taking the real life discussion at my home and the subject is minimized or spelt out like headlines to make it more readable without making it as a Maths/ Science lesson.

 After starting this blog this is the first time I am trying to write something in total English. Basically it is not that you should not write in English but never I was comfortable writing in this medium. It was after the chat I had with RK yesterday night I thought of doing so. He wanted to forward my blog link to some other friends of him who don't know Telugu. To that extent I was convinced, that if a thought is to be shared with all friends and has to reach wider audience from where different ideas and views pour in, then why not.

Coming back to the point the discoveries and inventions by humans never stopped at any point of time. They were continually in search of various things which can be of use to them. One such path breaking invention after fire is that of a wheel.

Now at this point of time what I felt is, if I start writing about each and every discovery/invention then it will be one more Encyclopaedia with all details and unlimited posts. The point what I want to drive home is the way science advancement leads to GOD.

My conceptualization of GOD as it was given in the earlier post - 

In Bhagavad-Gita, Krishna repeatedly says that when the yogi realizes that all this existence is just a variegated manifestation of Brahma, he assumes sambhava, and thus he integrates himself with Brahma, he attains the state of Brahma, a state of infinite peace and bliss. 

Thus Brahma is not a deity, it is not a god, and it is nothing supernatural. Brahma is all that we are, and the abstract cause of all that is, it is a concept which has to be understood, realized and felt, not just to be worshipped. 

What I write in this regard needs to be questioned, argued, evaluated and understood. Before going in depth let me detail you in brief of various subjects that evolved out of the research human does. 

Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology are the major branches which we start reading from childhood without knowing where they will lead to, and majority never try to understand in their lifetime for what they are required. 

Some definitions I collected from Wikipedia’s different sections are clubbed together to emphasize the fact what I am driving to.

Mathematics is the study of quantity, structure, space and change. Mathematicians seek out patterns, formulate new conjectures, and establish truth by rigorous deduction from appropriately chosen axioms and definitions.

Physics is a natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion through space time as well as related concepts, including energy and force. More broadly it is the general analysis of nature conducted in order to understand how the universe behaves.

Chemistry is the science of the matter and changes it undergoes. It is also addressed by Physics, but while physics takes a more general and fundamental approach, chemistry is more specialized, being concerned with the composition, behaviour (or reaction), structure and properties of matter, as well as it changes it undergoes during chemical reactions. It is a physical science which studies various substances, atoms, molecules, crystals and other aggregates of matter whether in isolation or combination.

Biology is a natural science concerned with the study of life and living organisms including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, distribution and taxonomy.

These subjects are inseparable even if they are read under different heads and are derived from in and around human and the definitions are result of refinement of thought process of human.

"A brief history of time "by Stephen hawking చదివిన తరువాత నా మనో నేత్రం ముందు ఎప్పుడూ ఒక picture కనపడేది. నా మీద ఆ పుస్తకం తాలూకు impact అనుకుంటాను. ఇప్పటికీ అ ఊహ/ఆలోచన/ఆ దృశ్యం నాకు అనిపించి కనిపించడం మానలేదు.
అదేమిటంటే ఏమి లేని శూన్యం లోంచి ఒక విస్ఫోటనం, దాంతో వెదజల్లబడిన మెరుపులు, వలయాకారాలలో తిరుగుతూ, పెరుగుతూ, తిరిగి sudden గా కుచించుకు పోయి శూన్యం అయిపోయి, ఇంకొక angle లో తిరిగి విస్ఫోటనం చెంది మళ్ళీ వెదజల్లబడి  - దీనికి అంతం లేదు. అది శూన్యం అయినప్పుడు ఒక ఉద్విగ్నత, అది విస్ఫోటనం చెందినప్పుడు ఒక జలదరింపు, ఆ శూన్యంలో పయనించేటప్పుడు  ఒక నిరామయత్వం - ఈ feeling నన్ను వదలలేదు. వదలటం లేదు.
నేను అదే నిజమని తీవ్రంగా నమ్మి దాన్నే ఆలోచిస్తూ ఉంటే నా ఊహల్లో అదే కనపడిందేమో. నాకు తెలియదు. అదొక్కటే justification అనిపించింది. నా logic కి అంత కంటే ఏమి తోచలేదు. కానీ ఆ భావ తరంగాలు నన్ను ఎప్పుడూ ఒక అలౌకిక ఆనందానికి గురి చేస్తాయి. నా అనుభవం నాకు నిజం. science గురించి వ్రాద్దామని మొదలెట్టి నా personal experiences వ్రాస్తున్నానేమిటి అనిపించింది.
ఇప్పుడు science గురించి  ఎలా మొదలుపెట్టాలనేది తెలియక  కొట్టుమిట్టాడి  ఎక్కడో అక్కడ start చేస్తే పోలా, అదే flow లో వచ్చేస్తుంది అనుకుని మొదలుపెట్టాను. మనిషి తనకున్న logic , reasoning తో తన చుట్టుపక్కల ఉన్నవాటిని discover చేస్తూ, వాటి ఆకృతి మార్చి కొత్తవి invent చేస్తూ , తను discover ,invent చేసినవి మనిషి అవసరాలకి సరిపడేలా ఉపయోగిస్తూ, తయారు చేస్తూ - ఇదొక నిరంతర ప్రవాహం.
నిప్పుని కనిపెట్టక ముందు కూడా నిప్పు ఉంది.ఇప్పటికి ప్రతిపాదించబడిన  theory ల ప్రకారము big bang మొదలైనదే నిప్పుతో or rather అగ్నితో.  విపరీతమైన వేడితో శూన్యం లోంచి  వెలువరించబడిన  ధూళి మేఘాలు మండుతూ  నిరంతర fission , fusion reactions తో కొత్త కొత్త అణు, కణ సముదాయాన్ని తయారు చేస్తూ , చల్లబడుతూ-వేడెక్కుతూ-తిరిగి చల్లబడుతూ , నిరంతరము వ్యాకోచం చెందుతూ , galaxy లై  తమ కక్ష్యలలో పరిభ్రమించుతూ ఈ ప్రపంచానికి తెర తీసాయి. ఈ సంయోగ వియోగాలతో భూమిపై సృష్టించబడిన జీవి తన ఉనికిని పెంచుతూ, వాతావరణానికి తగ్గట్టుగా మార్పు చెందుతూ, ఈ రోజుకి ఆలోచించగలిగే మనిషిగా, మనం చూస్తున్న మానవుడిగా మిగిలింది. మొదట్లో జంతువులా బ్రతికిన మనిషి, తనకున్న survival instincts తో, ఆలోచనా పటిమతో తన చుట్టు పక్కల ఉన్న వాటిని పరిశీలించి, అవగాహన చేసుకుని తనకి సరిపడేటట్టు వాడుకోవడం మొదలెట్టాడు. ఇప్పటికీ పైపొర చల్ల బడినా భూమధ్యంలో ఉండే lava , volcano ల ద్వారా ఈ వేడిని వెలువరిస్తుంది.  lava అంటే ద్రవ రూపంలో ఉండే రాయి.  మనకున్న ఆధారాల ప్రకారం ఈ నిప్పుని మనిషి  1 ,25 ,000 ల సంవత్సరాల క్రితమే control చెయ్యడం నేర్చుకున్నాడు. వాడి ఆహారపుటలవాట్లలోను(పచ్చివి తినడం మాని ఉడకబెట్టినవి, కాల్చినవి తినడం), జీవన విధానంలోను (రాత్రి వేళల పురుగులు, క్రిమి కీటకాల బారి నుండి కాపాడుకోవడానికి, చలి కాచుకోవడానికి etc .,) , వీటిలో మార్పు తెచ్చిన major discovery ఇది. కాలక్రమేణా నిప్పుని ఆయుధం క్రింద use చెయ్యడం నేర్చుకున్నాడు. మనిషి నిప్పు నించి విద్యుత్ produce చెయ్యడం మొదలెట్టాడు. ఇప్పుడు thermal power plants దీనికి ఉదాహరణ. నిప్పుని రాజేయ్యడానికి కావలిసిన ఇంధనాలు వెతుకుతూ ముందుగా కర్ర, వరుసగా బొగ్గు, ముడిచమురు ఉత్పత్తులైన, petrol , deisel , మళ్ళీ gas etc .,కనిపెట్టాడు. మళ్ళీ ఈ కనిపెట్టిన ఇంధనాల ప్రయోగాలతో వేరు వేరు అవసరాలకి రకరకాలుగా వాడుకుంటున్నాడు, చివరికి అంతరిక్షం లోకి ప్రయాణం చేసే రాకెట్ fuel లాగ కూడా.

మొదటిగా రాంబాబు గాడి మేడ మీద ఇచ్చిన ప్రదర్శనతో ఉత్సాహం చెంది రెండో సంవత్సరానికి తెర తీసాము. రాంబాబుకి వాడెక్కడ చూస్తాడో తెలియదు కానీ presentation విషయంలో ఒక funda ఉంది. తాటాకుల మీద invitation card అని మొదలెట్టాడు. వాడి fancy range చెప్పడానికి తాటాకుల కంటే ముందు జరిగిన సంఘటన. నా చేత రాత్రి పూట నా రక్తం తో love  letter వ్రాయించాడు. దానికి నెమలి పించం ఒకటి sharp చేశాడు వ్రాయడానికి. blade sterilize చేశాడు నా చెయ్యి నేను కోసుకోడానికి.రాత్రి ముహూర్తం. అయితే ఆ పించం తో వ్రాయడం అవ్వకపోతే దానితో ఒక love symbol వేసి ఊరుకున్నాము. మిగతాది మామూలుగానే వ్రాసాము. అయితే అప్పటి నా ఫ్రెండ్ "నీకిదేమి పిచ్చి" అని అడిగింది. నాకు వెర్రెక్కి అ letter కాలవలో పడేసి, వీడి collar పట్టుకుని లేపి ఒక గట్టు మీద పడేసాను. తరువాత వీడు నాకు మోచేతి వరకు పెద్ద bandage వేయించాడు. అది వేరే విషయం. ఈ ఆవేశంలో కిశోరన్న వాడి special friend కోసం  వేరే letter ఒకటి రాసి వాడి రక్తం తోనే - last లో సంతకానికి ముందు వాడికి doubt వచ్చింది. balance రక్తం ఏమి చెయ్యాలి అని. డేవిడ్ గాడు, రాంబాబు కూడా ఉన్నాడు అనుకుంటా, కిశోరన్నకి సలహా ఇచ్చారు. "ఇది నా రక్తం" అని వ్రాయమని. అది వ్రాసినా ఇంకా రక్తం మిగిలిపోతే మళ్ళీ అన్నగారికి doubt ఇదేమి చెయ్యాలి అని. అప్పుడు వీళ్ళ సలహా తాగేమని ఒకడు, అది ఆ letter లో జల్లీ మని ఇంకొకడు. అన్నగారి రక్తం ఆ తరువాత ఏమైందో నాకు గుర్తు లేదు. అంతకు ముందు ఏమైనా సినిమాల్లో ఈ రక్త పిపాస love letters ఉన్నాయేమో తెలియదు, కానీ తరువాత చాలా సినిమాల్లో ఈ రక్త పిపాస love letters ని వెటకారం చేస్తూ చాలా scenes ఉన్నాయి. రాంబాబు గాడి fancy thoughts చెప్దామని ఇంకేదో చెబుతున్నాను. ఇదనే కాదు వాడికి ఇలాటివే ఎన్నో ఆలోచనలు. ఎప్పుడూ ఏదైనా ఏదో variety చేద్దామనే వాడి తాపత్రయం. వాటి గురించి వాడి blog లో వాడే రాస్తాడు.
ఈ వెరైటీ లోంచి పుట్టుకొచ్చిందే ఈ తాటాకు మీద ప్రింట్. దీనికి డేవిడ్ గాడు  ఏరాడలో తాటాకులు నరికి తెస్తే వాటిని ఎండబెట్టి "ప్రకాష్  బుక్  స్టోర్స్" లో printing అనుకుంటా. మళ్ళీ వీటికి ముఖమల్ cover వాటికి మెరుపుల తాళ్ళు, పూసలు. కార్డు వరకు ఆదరగోట్టాము. ఇంకెవరో నాకు తెలిసిన "నాట్యమయూరి" group వాళ్ల చేత భరతనాట్య ప్రదర్శన. వాళ్లకి memento లు ఇచ్చాము. ఏవో ఒకటి రెండు డ్రామాలు వేసాము. అవి కూడా బాగానే నడిచాయి.
 ఆ తరువాత orchestra . ఇక్కడ farce మొదలైంది. ఈ orchestra కి prologue . నేను అప్పట్లో రెండు నెలలు ఏదో guitar నేర్చుకున్నాను. పూర్తిగా రాదు. ఏదో వానాకాలం చదువు లాటి guitar . మాకు lead singer అప్పలరాజు అని ఇంకో friend. voice బాగానే ఉండేది,  చిన్న ఉచ్చారణ దోషం. ప్రతి line వెనకాల "అం" అని మింగేవాడు. female voice కోసం మా ఇంటి పక్కనే ఉండే అమ్మాయి ప్రవీణ అని మాకేక్కడో దూరపు చుట్టాలు, ఆ అమ్మాయికి చిన్న నత్తి - "ప్రేమ పావురాలు"  సినిమాలో ఒక పాట లో" న్యా మనసేమో, న్యా మాటే వినదంటా" అని పాడేది.ఆ అమ్మాయిని పట్టుకున్నాము. ఇంకో female singer సునీత ( నవనీతం - ఆ అమ్మాయికి  nick name ) అని మా friend ఓ మోస్తరుగా బాగానే పాడేది.ఈ అమ్మాయి కిశోరన్న లిస్టు లోనే. కానీ డేవిడ్ గాడికి  special friend. తబలా వాయించడానికి పైడిరాజు అని అప్పల రాజు friend . వీళ్ళతో లింక్ లేని  బాబీ అని నాకు flute ఫ్రెండ్ ఒకడు ఉండేవాడు. వాడి tuition సెంటర్ లో నేను classes కూడా చెప్పేవాడిని. వాడి ఫ్రెండ్ జోసెఫ్ అని violin వాయించే వాడొకడుమధ్యలో. వాడు ఏమైనా అంటే నేను jumping run వాయిస్తాను అనేవాడు. ఈ f & f  వారి orcheshtra  మినీ కనకమహాలక్ష్మి రికార్డింగ్ ట్రూప్, రాజమండ్రి లాటిది.
నాకూ ఏమి చెయ్యాలో తెలియదు. ఎవడికి తెలియదు. మా ఇల్లు "లక్ష్మి విలాస్- రాతి మేడ " లో  orchestra rehearsals . ఈ మధ్యలో ఇంకెవరో reference లో ఒకతను casio వాయిస్తాను అని వచ్చాడు. ఆయనకి  తెలిసిన అమ్మాయిలు, వాళ్ల చేత కూడా పాడిద్దామని అతని ప్రయత్నం. వాళ్ళు గీతాంజలి సినిమాలో "ఓ పాప లాలీ" పాటలో chorus ఉంటుంది. ఓ పాప లాలీ అనగానే     " హా" అని - వాళ్ళు అది అంటారు అన్నాడు. మేము సరే అన్నాము. practice ఏమి చేసామో గుర్తు లేదు. లక్ష్మి విలాస్ ఆంతా సందడి. కలగా పులగం. Dec25th christmas రోజున మా పెద్ద మామ్మగారు చనిపోయారు. ఈ rehearsals మధ్యలో. ఆవిడ చనిపోయే ముందు మా singer అప్పలరాజు తో "పయనించే ఓ చిలుక " అనే పాట పాడించుకుని విన్నారు. చచ్చే ముందు ఆవిడ మనశాంతి పాడు చేసానేమోనని  నాకు ఎప్పుడూ ఒక guilty feeling . దాని నించి rehearsals కి break పడింది .
సరే అలాగే stage ఎక్కేసాము. ఇక్కడ సుబ్బడి గురించి కొంత చెప్పాలి. వాడు almost opposition leader నించి ruling party  leader అయిపోయాడు . నేను, కిషోర్, రాము ఒక పార్టీ అని, మిగిలిన మా ఫ్రెండ్స్ అందరూ ఒక పార్టీ అని తేల్చారు. అందుకనే వాడి participation ఈ ఫంక్షన్ కి ఏమి పెద్దగా లేదు. ఏదో last moment లో వచ్చి వాడి range హంగామా వాడు చేశాడు. సుబ్బడి emotions కానీ, వాడి ఆవేశం కానీ extremes లో ఉండేవి. మా friends కి almost అందరికీ వాడి style నచ్చేది. ఇప్పుడు వాడిని చూసిన వాళ్ళు ఎవరైనా ఆశ్చర్యపోయే అంతలా. ఆ projection ఎలా వచ్చింది అంటే కిషోర్ గాడి opponent సుబోద్ అనేలా. డేవిడ్ గాడు కూడా loyalties change చేశాడు. అలాగని కిశోరన్న ని బాధ పెట్టలేదు. అలాగ చిన్న split . కానీ ఎవడిని ఎవడూ వదలలేదు. ఎన్ని తన్నుకున్నా కలిపే తన్నుకున్నాం. 
ఇంకో పిట్ట కథ ఉంది. రాంబాబు గాడు dec31st కి అందరి దగ్గిరా collections అని మొదలెట్టాడు. ఎవడు డబ్బులిస్తే వాడికే కార్డు, పాస్. అందరూ collections చేశాము. చాలా మంది friends మేమేమి చేస్తామో చూద్దామని, డబ్బులు కట్టేరు. ఈ లోపల vizagapatnam క్లబ్ వాళ్ళు, మందు party with heavy music బయట పెట్టారు. ఆ sound భరించలేక మేము తలుపులు మూసేసాము. సరే జనాలు orchestra ఎలా ఉంటుందా అని కూర్చున్నారు. మొదటి దెబ్బ, mikes పని చెయ్యడం మానేశాయి. ఎవడైనా కెలికాడో కావాలని, లేదా అవే చచ్చాయో తెలియదు. అవి సెట్ చేసేసరికి screen లేవ లేదు. secretary రాంబాబు screen లాగ డానికి try చెయ్యడం. ఆ తతంగం అయ్యింది. మళ్ళీ   mikes పని చెయ్యలేదు. ఈ లోపుల మా orchestra ట్రూప్ ఏమి చెయ్యాలో తెలియక ఒకళ్ళ మొహాలు ఒకళ్ళు చూసుకోవడం మొదలెట్టారు. మిగతా friends , families తో వచ్చిన వాళ్ళు గోల. తలుపులు మూసేసి ఈ తతంగం ఏమిట్రా అని. నేను బాధ భరించలేక బయటకి వెళ్లి కూర్చుని ఏడవడం మొదలెట్టాను. నేను అంత ఏడుపుగొట్టుగాడినని  నాకే తెలిసిన క్షణం అది. అప్పుడు నా friends అందరూ నన్ను ఓదార్చడానికి బయటకి వచ్చారు. hall లో ఎవడు చచ్చాడో , ఎలా చచ్చాడో తెలియదు.
ఈ సందట్లో నా సిగేరేట్ ప్యాకెట్ కొట్టేసిన వాడొకడు. ఆఖరికి ఆ casio వాయిద్దామని వచ్చిన అయన ఏవో రెండు పాటలు పాడి జనాలకి అయ్యింది అనిపించాడు . ఆ తరువాత సమోసాలు దొరకలేదని ఒకడు, గులాబ్ జామూన్ దొరకలేదని ఒకడు. డబ్బులు కట్టాం మాకేవీ అని ఒకడు. అదో రసాభాస. మొదటి సంవత్సరం function కి ఎంత సంతోషించానో ఈ రెండో సంవత్సరం అంత బాధ పడ్డాను. 
నాకు గుర్తున్నంత మటుకు ఆ function details అవి. మిగిలిన నా friends ఎవడి view point వాడికి ఉంటుంది. వాళ్ళు ఇంకో రకంగా వాళ్ళ అనుభవం ఆ రోజుది ఉండొచ్చు. ఇంకేమైనా విశేషాలు ఉంటే మళ్ళీ తరువాత గుర్తుకు వస్తే రాస్తాను.

నా సినిమా blog posts అందరికీ నచ్చి వాళ్ళ పాత జ్ఞ్యాపకాలు చెప్పడంతో - నేను నా పాత జ్ఞ్యాపకాలకి వెళిపోయాను. అందులో కొన్ని అందరితోను పంచుకుందాం అనిపించి ఈ ప్రయత్నం.

మా స్నేహ బృందం ఇంతకు ముందు friends & friends association అని ఒకటి పెట్టాము. దానికి మా బాబన్న president , రాంబాబు secretary , నేను treasurer. ఈ association కి నాకు గుర్తున్నంత మటుకు agenda అంటూ ఏమి లేదు. Just కాలక్షేపం. దీనికో prologue ఉంది. నేను రాంబాబు ముందు ఏదో చేద్దామనే తాపత్రయం తో మాకు తెలిసిన lawyer దూర్వాసుల దక్షిణామూర్తి గారి దగ్గిరకి వెళ్లి," sir మేము ఒక trade union పెడదాము అనుకుంటున్నాము" అన్నాము. అతను మా వైపు జాలిగా చూసిన చూపు నాకు ఇంకా గుర్తే. అతను సరే ఐతే మీరు trade union పెట్టలేరు. ఒక సాంస్కృతిక సంస్థ పెట్టగలరు అన్నాడు. వెంటనే registrar office కి  వెళ్లి application తెచ్చి fillup చేసి register చేసాము. ఈ prologue కి ఒక prologue ఉంది. నాకు గుర్తున్నంత మటుకు ఇది వినాయక చవితికి వైజాగ్, గంగాబత్తుల వారి వీధిలో bobby (సింగరాచారి)గాడి ఇంటిముందు మొదలైంది. వినాయక చవితి ముందు రోజు మేము చిన్న పెండల్ వేసి అక్కడ విగ్రహం పెట్టి దాని decoration కి friends అందరమూ సరదాగా కబుర్లు చెప్పుకుంటూ చేశాము. అందరిలోనూ ఒక చిన్న spark - ఆ సరదా ని కొనసాగించడానికి ఏమి చేస్తే బాగుంటుంది, ఇంకా big scale లో అని ఆలోచిస్తే వచ్చిన idea  ఈ association మొదలెట్టడం. ఈ f &f వారి మొదటి సాంస్కృతిక కార్యక్రమం -- రాంబాబు గాడి డాబా మీద.
దీనికో interlude కూడా ఉంది. మా ఫ్రెండ్స్ అందరిలోనూ కిశోరన్న girl friends విషయంలో యువకిశోరం - వాడి పుణ్యమా అని రాంబాబుగాడు ఎప్పుడూ ఒక fascination లో ఉండేవాడు. వాడికి అప్పటికే ఒక fail sequence ఉండేది. వాడి దృష్టిలో కిశోరన్న hero .నేను కూడా వాడి fancy ని క్యాచ్ చెయ్యడానికి రెండు మూడు, అబద్ధం ప్రేమకథలు కల్పించి నా జీవితంలో జరిగినట్టు   చెప్పాను. ఈ అబద్ధాలు చాలా రోజులు continue చేసిన తరువాత, నాకు ఆ అబద్ధాల బరువు ఎక్కువైపోయి townhall లో రాంబాబుకి confess అయిపోయాను ఏడుస్తూ. వాడు కూడా నన్ను ఓదార్చాడు. తరువాత కిశోరన్న మాకందరికీ ఎవరో ఒక girl friends ని తగిలించాడు. అప్పట్లో మాకు girl friends ఉండేవారంటే అది వాడి పుణ్యమే. వాడు వాడి సామ్రాజ్యం, దాని నిండా అమ్మాయిలు. కిశోరన్న వెనక వందమంది పడితే, వీడో అమ్మాయి వెనక పరిగేట్టేవాడు. అదో పిట్ట కథ. డేవిడ్ గాడు మాకు VTcollege  class mate . వాడు, కిశోరన్న కరాటే నేర్చుకుంటూ ఉండేవారు. కిశోరన్న అప్పట్లో break dance కూడా నేర్చుకునే వాడు. సరే ఈ girl friends అందరిని రాంబాబు గాడి డాబా మీదకి పిలిచాము. మా ప్రతాపాలు చూపించడానికి.
సుబ్బడి entry మా స్నేహ బృండంలోకి ఎలా జరిగిందో నాకు సరిగ్గా గుర్తులేదు. ఈ function time కి వాడు కూడా ఉన్నాడు. వాడి రూటే సెపరేటు. కిశోరన్న ruling party అయితే వీడు opposition లీడర్. కానీ అందరిని కలిపే ఒక మిడిల్ క్లాసు, ఇంకా చదువు, love failure links చాలా ఉండేవి. ఎంత కొట్టుకున్నా ఒకళ్ళని ఒకళ్ళు ఒదులుకోలేకపోయాము  . ఎన్ని భీబత్సాలు జరిగినా సరే. 
ఇంకా రాంబాబు గాడి డాబా మీద f &f వారి కార్యక్రమాలు.
1. నేను, రాంబాబు  script వ్రాసి  తయారు చేసిన డ్రామా, ఇంకొకటి -  రెండు ప్రదర్శన ఇచ్చాము.
ఒక దాంట్లో యువత కి సందేశం. చెడు అలవాట్లు నేర్చుకోవద్దని. ఇందులో మధ్యలో సుబ్బడు ఏదో టేబుల్ మీద కూర్చోవాలి. sudden  గా అది పడిపోయింది. వెంటనే సుబ్బడు, రాంబాబు అప్పటికప్పుడు కొన్ని dialogues mix చేసి interrruption లేకుండా  డ్రామాలో కలిపేసారు. next minute  లో  current పోయింది. మళ్ళీ current వచ్చిన తరువాత అదే scene start చేశాము. అందులో టేబుల్ పడిపోయే dialogues లేకుండా వెళ్ళిపోయింది  . నీలిమ అని మా friend కి doubt వచ్చింది. ఇదేంటి ఇలా మారిపోయింది అని. సుబ్బడు అప్పుడు వాడి skill గురించి చిన్న చిరునవ్వుతో explain చేశాడు.
రెండు భరాగో వారి ఏదో డ్రామాలో ఒక పోర్షన్ తీసుకుని - అందులో almost నేను ఏక పాత్రాభినయం. మీసాల వెంకటసామి పోర్షన్. మధ్యలో dialogues మర్చిపోయాను. వెనకనించి రాంబాబుగాడి prompting . అందరూ నవ్వులు.
2. నీలిమ తమ్ముడు నవీన్ భరతనాట్య ప్రదర్శన. అదివో అల్లదివో అని. అది బాగా జరిగింది.
3. రాంబాబు magic show - వాడికి మేజిక్ ఏమి రాదు. ఏదో పెద్ద suspence లో పెట్టి సరదాకి చేశాడు. 
4 . నేను ఇది సరిపోదన్నట్టు పాటలు పాడటం. 
కిశోరన్న తమ్ముడు బుజ్జి తో "we are the world " ఇంగ్లీష్ సాంగ్- 
ఇంకెవరిదో పాట నాదని చెప్పి రాంబాబు  గాడిని నమ్మించేసాను-అది  "ఏ కోనలో విరబూసినావో కదా" అదొకటి - 
ఇంకో సాంగ్ హిందీ" ఎహసాన్ మేరె దిల్ పే". 
నిజంగానే మిగతా వాళ్లకి ఆ రోజు ఎలా గడిచిందో తెలియదు. నాకు మాత్రం fantastic evening . ఈ కింద లింక్ లో అ హిందీ పాటని చూడొచ్చు.

Science and Philosophy - 1

ఏదో కొత్త logic చెప్పడం లేదు. ఇది పాతదే. మళ్ళీ పునరుశ్చరణ . నాకు తెలిసిన, చదివిన సిద్ధాంతాలు, వేదాంతాలు ద్వారా నాకు అర్ధం అయ్యింది ఏమిటంటే జ్ఞ్యానం మనిషిని నిలవనివ్వదు. అది నీలో అశాంతి రేపుతుంది. నువ్వు దాని గురించి పూర్తిగా అర్ధం చేసుకునే దాకా. అర్ధం అయ్యింది అనుకున్న రోజు నీకు ఆలోచించడానికి ఏమి మిగలదు అనుభవించడమే. ఇంకా మనిషికున్న జ్ఞ్యానం ప్రపంచాన్ని పూర్తిగా అర్ధం చేసుకోడానికి సరిపోదు. అందుకే వీడికి శాంతి లేదు.
ఇంతకు ముందు అజయ్ శుక్ల అన్నాయన వ్రాసిన "God and Hindu Philosophy " అన్న ఆర్టికల్ నాకు ఎవరో మెయిల్ పంపించారు. అది నేను  చదివాను. ఇంచుమించు నాది కూడా అదే అభిప్రాయం. అందులో అయన ఏమని వ్రాసాడంటే (ఇది నేను అంతా copy paste కార్యక్రమం లో ముగించాను). తప్పకుండా, చిరాకు పుట్టినా కూడా, ఓపిగ్గా చదవండి.


GOD AND HINDU PHILOSOPHY    by Ajay Shukla
The concept of a divine god is not fundamental to the Hindu philosophy. What do we mean by this word ‘god’ ? Traditionally God is considered as a being or an entity, essentially having these qualities -
a ) an existence in the material sense,
b ) a sort of consciousness, and a desire to control and to take decisions,
c ) possession of some supernatural overwhelming power to effect decisions.
The Christian religion is very unambiguous on this issue. The first book of the Holy Bible is the Book of Genesis, which starts with the statement that in the beginning it was all dark and the world did not exist. And then Lord said let there be light and there was light and so the creation came into being by a powerful entity called god who pre-existed the creation and who took conscious decisions about working of this system and still does. The Christian religion gives very clear attributes to what is known as god.
Is the Hindu god any different? Since Hinduism is not an organized religion, not one founded by a code book, we can only go by what are the traditional practices and beliefs of the people. These beliefs of the common Hindu present a picture of a god not very different from the gods of other religions. But if we go by the fundamental philosophical treatises, the Vedas, the main Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita, then a very different picture emerges.
Riga-Veda is full of panegyric hymns venerating the numerous deities for their superhuman powers. Some scholars call it the prevalent polytheism. Actually none of these characters were in the category of a god. They were historical figures, like warlords who fought for the Aryans, and divine attributes got associated with them in time and legend. They lacked the status of absolute divinity. None of them was a supremo.
The sages of the Vedic age also came up with the concept of Brahma, a concept that should not be confused with god. To quote Sutra 129 of the tenth mandala of Riga-Veda :
In the beginning in the state of flood there was neither matter nor non-matter, neither being nor non-being. At that time there was neither the sky nor the space nor anything beyond . There was no life anywhere nor any source of pleasure. What was there ? And where ? What was the power ? At that time even the solemn water did not exist. There was neither death nor immortality, neither night nor any notion of the day. At that time only one, i.e. Brahma, imbued with energy in his nature was there and nothing else existed. Darkness was hidden inside darkness and the existence was unknown. With the exertion of its own tapas, heat-energy, out of nothing emerged Brahma without external cause or action. This caused the conception of creation and the sages realized the cause of matter in non-matter. Who knows the entire truth and who can speak about this creation ? What are the causative factors of this creation ? The gods have originated after the creation. Who knows the one from which this world has got created. It is not known how this existence has come up. He only knows the one who has unveiled it. Does he bear it or not ? It is not known whether the lord up above knows it or not .
The Vedic scholars treated Brahma as the source of creation, not as the conscious creator. Brahma is not a creator in the sense that He was a powerful and conscious being who existed before the existence of the universe. Brahma was something from which the existence came out into being. Brahma was an entity possessed only with heat energy but was without consciousness or desires. Creation occurred out of Brahma, not by Brahma, and it occurred out of non-matter and without any external cause.
The scientific theory on the phenomenon of creation says that in the beginning the entire universe was condensed in the form of a black hole. It was all dark and nothing existed, as described in the Veda. Then occurred an explosion, the big bang. I quote Stephen Hawking from his book A Brief History of Time - ‘ At the big bang , the universe is thought to have had zero size and so to have been infinitely hot.’ ( Recall the word tapas of the earlier quote of Rig Veda. Tap is heat.) This explosion led to creation of this universe and from then on the universe is continuously expanding.
The concept of Brahma was further elaborated in Atharva-Veda, and in the Vedanta i.e. in Upanishads it was the main subject of thought. The main characteristics of Brahma as described in Vedanta are -

1. Brahma is nirguna, it does not have any qualities.
2. Brahma is neither living nor non-living, or is both. It has no form. It is material as well as non-material.
3. Brahma is not conscious in the way we understand a conscious being. He is not a person. He does not take decisions.

It is interesting to note that in Vedanta the stress is not on the worship of Brahma but on understanding of Brahma. In Bhagavad-Gita, Krishna repeatedly says that when the yogi realizes that all this existence is just a variegated manifestation of Brahma, he assumes sambhava, and thus he integrates himself with Brahma, he attains the state of Brahma, a state of infinite peace and bliss. Thus Brahma is not a deity, it is not a god, it is nothing supernatural. Brahma is all that we are, and the abstract cause of all that is, it is a concept which has to be understood, realized and felt, not just to be worshipped.
And for this reason Brahma does not interfere or take decisions. Brahma is also not the chief controller of the human action. In Bhagavad Gita also Krishna says that He does not take decisions into mundane human affairs, he does not interfere. Krishna says ( Ch.V-14 & 15 ) that God creates neither the acts nor the cause nor the circumstances of the action. It is the nature that acts these out. God regards neither sin nor piousness.
Krishna further says that he is detached to whatever he is doing. He does not control the actions of people nor does he interfere with their affairs. He neither gets affected by human actions nor does he sit upon judgment on their lives. He does not take such decisions. He is not the grand judge. In fact there is no concept of a day of judgment in the Indian philosophy. To quote from Bhagavad Gita.
All works are accomplished by the qualities of nature. The ignorant feel they are the doer because of their ego. Ch. III sh. 27
Though creator of this existence you should understand me as one who does not do anything. Ch. IV sh. 13.
When one does not see the doer but sees only the qualities of nature performing their acts truly attains my being. Ch.XIV sh.19
The five factors which accomplish all actions are - the scene of action i.e. the body, the doer, the instruments or the sensory organs or the faculties, the efforts i.e. the motions or the impulses, and providence i.e. the divine factors. Ch.XVIII sh.14
This is only to show that in Hindu philosophy there is no superman type of god who would actively intercede into human affairs, a concept normally regarded as divine, and linked to god.
Since Brahma does not decide how the individual should act? Does anyone control ? Or are we all absolutely free ? Is all this uncontrolled and chaotic ?
We can not psychologically accept that it is all chaotic and haphazard. Scientifically also we do find some order in the scheme of things, some principles making things act in the way they do. Existences are not free to do anything they want. Krishna tells Arjuna that his resolve not to fight in the battle is vain and an offshoot of his ego. He tells Arjuna, ‘ You think you are going to take decisions. But no. Your own nature will compel you to fight.’ Elsewhere also, Krishna says that even the sinner is a victim of his own nature, he is not a sinner in the real sense, as he is not the doer. Man is thus bound by his own nature in the context of his actions, but there is no extra-terrestrial control over him. This does put serious limitations on the individual’s freedom but that is also true. It however relieves the individual from the dictates of an alien divine hand.
What is nature ?
Nature is an abstract metaphysical force prevailing everywhere, in each entity, which causes the constituent factors to act in the way they do and hence is the cause of all actions. It is not that nature is something outside the material entity. Rather nature is an innate and inseparable part of the material entity. It is that abstract factor which makes the material factor be or act whatever it is or does. And since it is an abstract quantity it can neither be fully understood nor completely controlled.
Nature controls everything, but it is a sort of non-predetermined control. What will be the outcome of the action is nowhere predetermined because all action that is taking place is a continuous process of interplay of the nature of various existences in an extremely dynamic and fluid situation. The process can be predicted to some an extent by empirical methods and by logic ( the laws of science ) but not always and not to the absolute exactness, both because of the sheer complexity of the total interaction and because of the unknown factors of nature.
Providence is also one of the factors of action, and this factor is unknown. No one can know this. It is mysterious. Like the uncertainty principle. We can understand a phenomenon on the basis of its principles but only to the extent of its singularity. There comes a point when the principle ceases to be applicable. That is its singularity stage. It is because of the principle itself is based on the phenomenon. Providence is not the divine but simply the unknown, the mysterious, the incalculable.
It may be interesting to discuss astrology also at this point. I do not say that astrology, palmistry and other such like mystical things are not sciences. They are sciences. The position of the sun controls the climate which influences the living world. Similarly the planets and stars can have influence on us. And based on their patterns certain predictions can be made, I am willing to go that far. I am however not going to accept is that these are exact or complete sciences. They have and would always have limitations. After all a doctor can tell quite a few things about a patient by examining the eyes, the fingers and other parts of the body. But whether the patient will die of a disease or in a car accident the doctor cannot predict.
Maybe the lines on the palm also carry some tell tale signs. What these signs tell is the present state of affairs. Based on the present some prediction can be made which may or may not come to be true. To put it differently, one can predict that a mango seed will grow into a mango tree. It cannot become a neem tree. But whether it will actually grow to its full bloom or will be cut down as a sapling cannot be predicted. No one can make all the predictions. No one shall ever be I challenge. Because then you are assuming that there is no providence, that everything can be predetermined and calculated. If one could calculate the behavior and movement of every single atom of this existence then maybe one would be able to predict everything. Maybe not even then because the uncertainty principle holds that the very action of knowing some thing alters the motion and the position of that thing. As such by the time we come to know about it the damn thing has altered course.
I am also surprised to see that the same astrologists who make predictions also provide prescriptions to avoid the dictates of providence ! This is like eating your cake and having it too. But this can be done only by god ! You can’t have it both ways. If everything is predestined how can you find escape routes ? I cannot imagine the divine being inefficient. But fundamentally it is all like walking in dark.
I am reminded of the 14th shloka of Chapter VII of Gita, ‘ This three faceted Maya of mine is difficult to fathom. ’ Krishna does not expect man to be able to know fully the unknown facets of action.
We come back to the question, Is there a god controlling things in this universe ? If you accept the phenomenon, then you have to per se also accept the concept of divine interference and divine disposition. I mean you cannot say that god is unfair and irresponsible. But if you go by this theory of karmic burden and commiserate disposition, then the theory of nature acting upon the beings does not hold good. Then you are negating almost everything said in Gita and Upanishads. And if you believe in Brahma and the forces of nature then you cannot sustain the theory of the karmic burden of the previous life, or anything indicating divine dispensation.
Thus I do not find the concept of a divine god either logical , or empirically sustainable, nor supported by ancient Indian philosophy.
That is why I hold that the Hindu philosophy was based on scientific perceptions, on rational and logical thought and there was no room in it for supernatural and divine concept of god. They believed in the concept of Brahma as the underlying universal cause of all existences. But they sages also realised that it was difficult for the common man to understand and accept such an abstract concept. To quote sh. 5 of ch. XII of Gita-
Efforts are tremendous for those whose who cling to the formless one, because the path of formlessness is attained by mortal beings with great pain.
At the same time it was necessary not to break the simple belief in the divine of those people who were not capable of understanding a complex concept of Brahma. And so in the third chapter sh. 29 Krishna advises that the knowledgeable person should not confuse the simple minded one by his knowledge. Let the ordinary individual carry on with his simple faiths, or he will feel totally lost.
The concept of god was man’s answer to the mysteries of the existence. It was a reassurance in a system which was full of unknown, and full of inevitability of death. Belief in divinity satisfied a very basic need of human curiosity and bewilderment. And ofcourse, of fear. We must remember that the process of human survival was a very ruthless one. There was no democracy, no human rights and no concept of social justice to save the unfit. God was a part of man’s quest for survival. The concept of god as a superior being capable of doing a rescue act was indeed a fascinating idea. Indeed god was the most sublime creation of the collective human mind.

నా శ్రీమతి తో సహా అందరూ నచ్చింది అన్నందుకు one more round of సినిమా


నా జీవితంలో నాకు బాగా నచ్చిన నన్ను ప్రభావితం చేసిన ఇంకొక సినిమా "కొడయాట్టం" అనే మలయాళం సినిమా. అందులో గోపి హీరో. director అదూర్ గోపాలక్రిష్ణన్ అనుకుంటాను. ఈ సినిమా నేను దూరదర్శన్ లో ఆదివారం చూశాను.regional film category లో  మధ్యాహ్నం వచ్చింది. నేను అప్పుడు 9th std అనుకుంటాను. ఆ సినిమాలో ముందు హీరో అల్లరి చిల్లరగా తిరుగుతూ జీవితం గడుపుతాడు.అక్క చాటున బ్రతుకుతూ ఉంటాడు. వీడికి పెళ్లి చేస్తుంది. హీరో పెళ్ళాం వీడి బాధ్యతలేని తిరుగుళ్ళు భరించలేక వదిలేసి వెళిపోతుంది. అప్పుడు హీరో భార్య గర్భవతి. అయినా హీరో (వాడి పేరు శంకర్ అని గుర్తు) ఏమి పట్టించుకోడు.  వాడికి తిండి పెట్టే అక్క పెళ్లి చేసుకుంటుంది. వీడంటే అభిమానం చూపించే ఒక విధవ ఎవరిచేతో మోసగించబడి ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకు చచ్చి పోతుంది.ఒంటరివాడు అయిపోతాడు.తరువాత  హీరో ఒక lorry cleaner కింద జాయిన్ అవుతాడు. అష్ట కష్టాలు పడి  ఎలాగో నిలదొక్కుకొని మొదట సంపాదించినా డబ్బులతో పెళ్ళానికి మల్లె పూలు కొని తీసుకు వెళతాడు. అప్పుడు వాడి అత్తవారింట్లో హీరో తన  కొడుకుని ఎత్తుకుని ముద్దాడతాడు. ఇంతవరకే గుర్తుంది. ఇదే  climax అనుకుంటాను. దీని తరువాత గుర్తులేదు. నిజంగా భర్త బాధ్యత తీసుకోవడం లో ఒక life partner పడే సంతోషం, వాడు నిజంగా వాడి కొడుకుని ఎత్తుకునే క్షణంలో వాడి feeling నాకు ఎప్పటికి చెరగని memory . ఈ సినిమాలో గోపి peformance fantastic. subtitles తో సినిమా follow అవ్వడం ఈ సినిమాతోనే నేను మొదలెట్టాను. ఇదే నేను చూసిన మొదటి పరభాషా చిత్రం. ఇంటర్మీడియట్ నించి ఇంక భాష తో సంబంధం లేకుండా సినిమాలు చూడటానికి ఈ సినిమాయే పునాది. కొంచం ఓపిక ఉన్నవాళ్ళు చూడతగ్గ సినిమా.


నవ్వంటే ఇప్పటికి ఎప్పటికి నేను మర్చిపోలేని సినిమా "శ్రీవారికి ప్రేమలేఖ". దీని గురించి నేను ఏమి చెప్పినా తక్కువే. ఇంత నవ్వించగలిగే సినిమా తియ్యడం ఒక్క జంధ్యాలకే చెల్లింది. ఇందులో మనం enjoy చెయ్యలేని సీన్ అంటూ ఉండదు. ఈ సినిమాలో  ఎవడైనా నవ్వలేకపోతే నా అభిప్రాయం ప్రకారం వాడి జీవితంలో ఏదో భయంకరమైన లోపం ఉన్నట్టే. అన్నీ నాకు నచ్చిన సీన్లే. అన్ని dailogues నాకు కంథతా నే.  అందులో లాస్ట్ పావుగంట సీన్ లో పెళ్ళిలో జరిగే అన్ని రకాల farce లు ఉంటాయి.ఒకావిడ పట్టు చీరతో సతమతమైపోతూ ఉంటుంది. పెళ్లి ఉంది అన్నప్పుడు పట్టు చీర కట్టడం. లేదు అనగానే చీర మార్చి మామూలు చీర కట్టడం. ఆఖరికి ఈ తతంగం నాలుగు సార్లు జరిగిన తరువాత మళ్ళీ పెళ్లి cancel అని తెలుస్తుంది. ఆవిడ ఎంతో నిస్పృహతో "మళ్ళీ పట్టు చీర విప్పేయాలా " అని అడుగుతుంది. అప్పటికే వెర్రెక్కిపోయి హీరో తండ్రి (వీరభద్రరావు) అక్కడ ఉన్న ధాన్యం మూటల మీద అయ్యప్ప pose లో  కూర్చొని ఉంటాడు. ఈ మాట వినగానే ఒక్కసారి కిందకి గెంతి "నువ్వు విప్పి నాకు కట్టవే" అంటాడు.
నవ్వుని తెలుగు సినిమా లో define చేసిన జంధ్యాల కిదే నా నీరాజనం.


regional films flow లో నేను చూసిన నాకు బాగా నచ్చిన ఇంకో రెండు సినిమాలు. సత్యజిత్ రే తీసిన "జన అరణ్య " and రిత్విక్ ఘటక్ తీసిన "మేఘే డాక  తార". వీటి గురించి మరోసారి.

సాగర సంగమం లో ఈ dialogue నిజంగా నన్ను కదిలించింది. వ్రాసినవారెవరో నాకు తెలియదు. కానీ ఒక మనిషి మీద తనకున్న అపారమైన నమ్మకం ప్రకటించాడు కవి.


ఈ మధ్యే రిలీజ్ అయినా మహేష్ ఖలేజా లో నాకు నచ్చిన డైలాగ్
మహేష్: దేముడి definition అర్ధం అయిపొయింది భయ్యా. ఆడేక్కడో పైన ఉండదు. నీలోను నాలోనూ ఇక్కడే ఉంటాడు. అవతలోడి సాయం కోసం అడిగినప్పుడు టప్పని బయటికి వస్తాడు........ఒరేయ్ సిద్ధా, ఇందాక నీకు విత్తనం లో చెట్టు కనపడింది, ఇప్పుడు నాలో నాకు దేముడు కనిపిస్తున్నాడు.


నాకు బాగా నచ్చిన సినిమాలలో వేదం కూడా ఒకటి. క్రిష్ తీసిన వేదం సినిమా లో గుండెను కదిలించే situations చాలా ఉన్నాయి. అవన్నీ చెపితే సినిమా script రాసినట్టే అవుతుంది. అందులో ఒక situation అండ్ దాని continuation లో పాట. అదేంటంటే కేబుల్ రాజు(అల్లు అర్జున్) తన ప్రియురాలికి హోటల్ దగ్గిర నిజం చెప్తాడు. తను దొంగిలించిన డబ్బులు  తిరిగి మూట కట్టి అందులో తన pocket లో ఉన్నవి కూడా కలిపేస్తాడు. అప్పుడు back ground song
" ఉప్పొంగిన సంద్రంలా
ఉవ్వెత్తున ఎగిసింది
మనసును కడగాలనే ఆశా 
కొడిగట్టిన దీపంలా

" Shawshank redemption "అన్న సినిమాని నా మరదలు kiranmayee sandeep recommend చేసింది. నా hard disk లో load కూడా చేసింది. కానీ ఎందుకో నాకు ఆ పేరు నచ్చ లేదు. అందుకనే చూడలేదు తిరిగి rk చెప్పేదాకా. ఆ సినిమా చూసిన తరువాత అర్ధం అయ్యింది పేరుబట్టి సినిమా చూడడం మానేయకూడదని. Shawshank అన్నది ఒక prison . జీవిత ఖైదీలని అక్కడ ఉంచుతారు.నిజమైన ప్రపంచానికి దూరంగా అదో ప్రపంచం. అక్కడ ఖైదీలకి జైలర్, వార్డెన్లు చెప్పినవి చెయ్యడమే తప్పితే వేరే ఆలోచించడానికి కూడా time ఉండదు, ఇవ్వరు. పొరపాటున తన భార్య హత్య కేసులో ఇరుక్కుపోయి హీరో అక్కడికి చేరుకుంటాడు. తప్పు చేసిన వాళ్ళని చీకటి కొట్లో పడేస్తారు. ఒకసారి అక్కడ music play చేసి హీరో వారం రోజులు చీకటి కొట్లో ఉండి వస్తాడు. తరువాత అక్కడ mess లో red అని hero close firend in prison ఇంక తోటి  ఖైదీలతో dining table దగ్గిర జరిగే coversation ఆ సినిమాలో నాకు నచ్చిన conversation. 
Red : a week in the hole is like a year
Dufrence (హీరో): I had Mr . Mozart to keep me company
mate: So they let you tote that record player down there
Duf : తన తల చూపిస్తూ -It is in here - గుండె చూపిస్తూ - and here - It is the beauty of music , they cant get that from you    - Haven 't ever you felt that way before
Red : Well I played harmonica as a younger man , lost interest in it though -doesnt make much sense in here
Duf : here is where it makes most sense , so that you  dont forget
Red : forget ??
Duf : dont forget that there are places which are not made of stone and there is something they cant get to , they cant touch , its yours
Red : what are you talking about
Duf : Hope

ఆలోచనల స్రవంతి - 16

ఈ బ్లాగ్ లో ఆరు సార్లు ఏదో వ్రాద్దామని మొదలుపెట్టి ఒక line వ్రాసి మళ్ళీ delete  చేశాను, అవేంటంటే
1. ద్వేషానికున్న శక్తి ప్రేమకి లేదు
2. hinduism , islam , christianity , buddhism  వీటి పయనమెటు

5. నేను ఇంతకు ముందు రాసిన నవల continue చెయ్యడం
6. ఏదో కవిత్వం మళ్ళీ వ్రాద్దామని ప్రయత్నం


 ఈ తతంగాలన్నీ అయిపోయిన తరువాత అనిపించింది నేను వ్రాసిన cinema posts చాలామంది (ఆ స్ర - 16  కాకుండా ) చదివి comment చేశారు - why not one more అని అనిపించింది.
"ప్యాసా" గురించి rk వ్రాయమన్నాడు. రాంబాబు నేను scene గురించి అనుకున్న analysis ఇస్తూ నేను ఎలా ప్రభావితం అయ్యానో వ్రాయమన్నాడు. అంత విశేషంగా చెప్పగలనా లేదా అని ఒక అనుమానం. మళ్ళీ అనిపించింది ఇది నేను ఎవరిని satisfy చెయ్యడానికి కాదు, నేను అనుకున్నది express చెయ్యడంలో  తప్పేంటి అనుకుని , సరే ఏదో ఒక సీన్ నాకు నచ్చింది detail ఇద్దామనిపించి ఆలోచించాను. ఏది గుర్తుకు రాలేదు. ఇవాళ నేను పని చేస్తున్న site లో పరిస్థితి ఏమిటి. concrete ఎంత అయ్యింది. labor గొడవలు ఏమొస్తాయి. department వాడు ఏమంటాడు, consultant ని ఏమి అడగాలి.ఇవే బుర్ర నిండా. ఇంక లాభం లేదు అనుకుని blog close చేసేసి పడుకున్నాను.
